i feel like giving up is all we've got

Untuned

She walks alone, straight and fast
All life's memories flutter past
What she does, where she goes
It's a mystery, and nobody knows

Nobody sees into her mind
Nobody wants to know her kind
Nothing to care, no one to love
No crowd to ever be part of

She sits alone, and nobody cares
But when she walks past, everyone stares
Shunning the world, hiding her face
Too slow to keep up with life's pace

The kids will whisper, the mothers talk
But she keeps on her slow, slow walk
She cries alone, she nurses her wound
She is pure, she is untuned
